Coming from a background in human factors and ergonomics applied to health (having a DESS in Ergonomics, a DEA in Cognitive Ergonomics and a Masters in Innovation Management), his career led to a ten-year spell working on the development of telemedicine and advanced medical technologies in the Armed Services Healthcare Service.
Then moving towards innovation management and innovative design methods, he was responsible for leading the e-health area at the Rhône-Alpes Regional Development and Innovation Agency and for setting up the Rhône-Alpes i-Care Cluster.

Initially qualifying as an information technology engineer, he also holds a doctorate in imaging (applied to health). For around ten years before joining the cluster in 2011, he held various posts in businesses in Rhône-Alpes in the area of health as a research engineer and project manager.

Qualifying initially as a materials engineer, she also has a doctorate in process engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne. Her career then took her to scientific culture and communication where she was responsible for the commercial development of research.
She then developed digital prevention tools for the Hygée Centre, an inter-regional cancer-prevention centre, where she specialised in the Living Lab methodology.
