THE CLUSTER IN THREE WORDS...
The i-Care Cluster is an initiative intended to bring together all the stakeholders in the value chain of health technologies in the Auvergne- Rhône-Alpes Region . Businesses in the health technology sector design, manufacture and market medical devices and solutions via health information technologies. The region has the benefit of a historic presence of businesses and laboratories, providing over 20,000 jobs, in the field of medical technologies which are increasingly making use of digital technologies.
Since 2011, the i-Care Cluster has been an association which welcomes members from the business world (subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors), universities, research centres, healthcare establishments and associations. It brings together the entire regional ecosystem of health technology players by integrating the specific features of the territories and the sectors of excellence in our region in the field of surgery and image-aided medicine, implants, textiles, imaging, health software and health information systems.
The businesses are involved in the operational roll-out of action programmes and the setting-up of its governance. Our actions are focussed on support for technological innovation and by practices (ENoLL), the development of collective approaches to better understand business development (with regard to regulations, standardisation and international factors etc.) and involvement in structuring programmes such as Health2Care (EU programme), Digital Care Territory (national programme), etc.
Since 2013, the i-Care Cluster has been the initiator and main organiser of the Health TechDays, the annual rallying point for the sector.
